About Kit:  My mother in law (Katie Migoski) enjoyed designing and sewing clothes for American Girl Dolls.  When she died in October of 2013 I decided to continue her tradition of dressing a doll for the holidays/seasons.  At first I thought I would display the doll in my house as Katie had in her house in Pittsburgh.  It didn’t take me long to realize that the kids at school would enjoy seeing Kit in all the outfits that Katie had made over the years and I know that Katie would have loved the idea of Kit hanging out with everyone at school.  I began bringing Kit to school in late October 2013 and decided to create this blog for both my students and their parents using Kit’s voice in January of 2014.  The weekly entries for students are read together in music class and both student and parent entries are available via the blog on the web.
